Spread the Warmth – Age UK

The brief

raise awareness about the problems facing 1 million older people in winter

What we did

produced an emotive video encouraging viewers to write to their MP to ask them to pay for warmer homes by using monies collected through carbon taxes

The feedback

“the Spread the Warmth video project needed to be very sensitively approached, as it featured real people, telling their own stories.  The videos needed to get a response from viewers without patronising or sensationalising the people we featured.  We chose to work with Forward Slash because they are documentary makers who really know how to get the best out of people and tell their human stories in a very real way.  We were extremely pleased with the finished videos.”

Budweiser Knitbot – Christmas Jumper Campaign

The brief

Showcase the Budweiser Knitbot, the Twitter-powered knitting machine, producing festive knitwear for designated drivers, and encourage viewers to tweet #jumpers4des.

What we did

We created a partly animated promotional video showing the Knitbot in action, the Christmas Jumper promotional packs, and the finished Budweiser Christmas Jumpers being worn by ‘designated drivers’. The campaign featured in newspapers, blogs and websites around the world including The Daily Mirror, Daily Mail and Cnet.

Trash Tevez – For Betfair

The brief

use the Carlos Tevez situation to create real-time engagement with football fans for Betfair (having defected from Manchester United to Manchester City, Tevez had refused to warm up during a game for City and then absconded complaining of homesickness – resulting in both United and City fans turning against him).

What we did

created a video of a stunt encouraging football fans to skip their Tevez shirts.  The video gained 200,000 views on the first day on youtube, made the top 5 most viewed videos chart, and was featured in the Daily Mail, Mirror, Sun, Sky and BBC, as well as appearing on Argentinian TV news, gaining worldwide visibility for Betfair.

The feedback

“Creating an online video that goes viral is a mix of idea, execution and planning – working with Forward Slash on the ‘Trash your Tevez Shirt’ video was fantastic, the team got some brilliant, genuine fan reactions and really captured a moment in time in football.  We’ve worked with Forward Slash on a number of Betfair campaigns, and are delighted to have gathered hundreds of thousands of views in the process.”

Kellogg’s Tweetshop – Launch of Special K crisps for Kellogg’s

The brief

create a video to publicise a pop-up ‘Tweet Shop’ launching Special K Cracker Crisps

What we did

Mischief PR and Kellogg’s decided to launch new Special K Cracker Crisps with an innovative idea. They opened a shop where you pay by tweet instead of money. We made this animated video to publicise the opening of the shop.

The feedback

“This activity was a real success for Kellogg’s and the video gained thousands of views and coverage across global media, including Campaign, Ad Age and Daily Mail Online.  The client loved the animation, which was perfectly on brand, and articulated a simple but innovative idea really well.”
